Green whole moong dosa

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup whole green moong
  • 1/2 cup yellow moong dal
  • 1/2 cup rice ( or any millet like kodo, little , barnyard)
  • 2/3 green chilly
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • 1 onion finely chopped( can also add grated carrot and cucumber)
  • Salt to taste

How to make:

  1. Soak the green moong, moong dal and rice( or millet) for about 7/8 hours. I soaked overnight and ground the batter in the morning . This batter dose now need fermentation.
  2. Grind the dals and millet/ rice with green chilly and piece of ginger to a smooth dosa batter.
  3. Remove onto a container. Add salt. Chopped onion, coriander and jeera. Mix well and adjust consistency with water if required.
  4. Make dosa on tava.
  5. This dosa is best served with a tangy chutney. So I made a small onion ( sambhar onion) and tomato chutney.
