Broccoli Peas Sesame Soup

This is a very unique chutney from the south of India. It’s a chutney served warm and has no coconut in it like the staple chutney.

Usually made with gram flour/ besan I have substituted with sattu flour for nutrition purposes.

Ingredients :

  • 1.5 cups broccoli
  • 1/4 cup fresh peas
  • 2 pods garlic
  • 1 piece ginger
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1-2 tsp pepper corn
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil

How to make:

1. In a pan as the oil and sauté peppercorn, garlic and ginger.
2. To this add sesame seeds
3. Add the broccoli and peas and sauté for a few minutes.
4. Add water and salt and boil till done
5. Cool and blitz.
6. Put in a pan and bring to a boil check seasoning and serve hot
