Carrot Yellow Moong Dal Dosa

Adding vegetables to a dosa gives that bit of fiber that is necessary for a complete meal. This recipe is high in vitamin A and protein 

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup moong dal
  • 1 cup chopped carrot
  • 3 green chilly
  • 1 inch piece ginger
  • 3 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 large onion chopped finely
  • 1 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste

How to make:

  • Soak the moong dal for 2 hours or even overnight if you wish. Drain the water. Add the chopped carrot in a blender with green chili and ginger . Add a little water and grind to a smooth paste without any lumps. Then add the moong dal and a little more water and grind to a smooth dosa batter consistency.
  • Just before making dosa add chopped onion, chopped coriander , jeera and salt and mix well. Make dosas. Serve with green chutney.
