Kodo Millet 3 in 1 Batter – Gluten Free

This is a gluten free batter to make idli, dosa or fritters in appe pan with your choice of veggies and seasoning  and hence called a 3 in 1 batter.

 

Ingredients :

  • 4 cups murmura/puffed rice
  • 1 cup rice/ millet of your choice
  • 1/2 cup urad dal

How to make:

  1. Soak the millet and urad dal separately in two container for 6/8 hours
  2. Soak poha for 1 hour.
  3. Drain water from urad dal and grind to a smooth fluffy paste with little water. Pour into a container.
  4. Grind the millet and poha with little water to form a smooth paste. Remove and mix with the urad dal paste.
  5. Add salt and ferment for 10/12 hours or overnight.
  6. This is a multipurpose batter as you can make soft idlis, dosas or fritters with it.
