Ingredients :
- 2 cups grated fresh coconut
- 2 tbsp raw rice
- 2 tbsp almond
- 2 tbsp cashew
- 1.5 cups Jaggery
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds / khuskhus
- Cardamom powder
- Water
How to make:
- Soak the almond,Cashew, poppy seeds and rice for about 4 hours or overnight. Drain all the
water out later and grind to a fine paste with water in the grinder. You would
need about 2 cups of water approximately. The entire ground mixture plus water
should come upto 5 cups. - Take the jaggery in a
Kadam. Add 3/4 cup of water. Once it dissolves completely lower the flame to
minimum and add the ground coconut mixture. Add cardamom powder. Keep stirring
and boil on low flame till you see one boil and the kheer begins to thicken. - Coconut payasam ready
to be served
