Kodo Millet Green Peas Handvo

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup millet ( I used kodo millet – can also use rice instead)
  • 1/2 cup channa dal
  • 1/4 cup tur dal
  • 2 tbsp urad dal
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1/2 cup coriander chopped
  • 3-4 green chilly
  • Piece of ginger
  • Sesame seeds
  • Salt
  • Oil

How to make:

  1. Wash and soak the millets and dals.grind to a coarse paste . Add salt and ferment
  2. Grind the peas, coriander , green chilly and ginger to a paste
  3. Add this to the handvo batter and mix well. Check for seasoning
  4. Heat a flat sauce pan. Season with oil and white sesame seeds.once the seeds splutters add a layer of the handvo batter. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Cover and cook till the top dries up and the bottom crisps up.
  5. Flip over and cook on the other side
  6. Yummy handvo is ready to be served.
