Ingredients :
- 1 cup millet ( I used kodo millet – can also use rice instead)
- 1/2 cup channa dal
- 1/4 cup tur dal
- 2 tbsp urad dal
- 1 cup peas
- 1/2 cup coriander chopped
- 3-4 green chilly
- Piece of ginger
- Sesame seeds
- Salt
- Oil
How to make:
- Wash and soak the millets and dals.grind to a coarse paste . Add salt and ferment
- Grind the peas, coriander , green chilly and ginger to a paste
- Add this to the handvo batter and mix well. Check for seasoning
- Heat a flat sauce pan. Season with oil and white sesame seeds.once the seeds splutters add a layer of the handvo batter. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Cover and cook till the top dries up and the bottom crisps up.
- Flip over and cook on the other side
- Yummy handvo is ready to be served.
