
Ingredients :
- 1 cup little millet
- 2 cups water
- For Tempering
- 2 tsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 2 tbsp groundnut
- 3-4 green chilly
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Few curry leaves
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt to taste
How to make:
- Wash the millet in water 3 or 4 times. Soak for an hour.
- In a pan add the soaked millets with 2 cups of water and 1/2 a tsp oil. . Cover and cook on medium flame.
- It should take anywhere between 12- 15 minutes to cook and all water to be absorbed.
- Once cooked fluff it up with a fork and cool completely
- For the tempering Add oil in. A pan. Add mustard seeds, groundnut. Let the groundnut brown then add the green chilly, curry leaves, salt, and turmeric .
- Switch off the flame and add the cooled millet and lemon juice. Mix lightly so as not to mush up the millets. Check for salt.
