Methi Tomato Pulav

Ingredients :

  • 1- 1.5 cups cooked and cooled rice
  • 1 cup chopped methi leaves
  • 1 large tomato chopped
  • 2/4 green chilly or chilly powder
  • 2-3 onion thinly sliced
  • Mix of  whole clove, cardamom, cinnamon
  • 1-2 tsp jeera
  • 1-2 tbsp oil
  • Green chilly / chilly powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder ( optional)
  • Salt to taste

How to make

  1. In a pan add oil and jeera. Once it splutters add your whole spices. Sauté
  2. Add onions and roast till they turn light brown. Add the methi leaves and some salt. Cook till done
  3. Add the tomatoes and all remaining spices and powder.
  4. Once done add the cooled rice and mix well.
  5. Check for salt
  6. Quick methi pulav ready to be served with raita or dal
