Rajgira Green Pea Fritters

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup rajgira ( or any
    millet of your choice)
  • 1 cup yellow moong dal
  • 1 tsp flax seed
  • 1 cup boiled peas
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriande
  • 2 tsp crushed ginger n
    green chilly paste
  • 1/3 tsp ajwain
  • Salt to taste
  • White sesame seeds for
    garnish( optional)

How to make:

  1. Soak the moongdal, rajgira seeds and flaxseed for about 5/6 hours.
  2. Drain and grind to a thick idly like consistency with green chilly
  3. Let it ferment for 8/10 hours or overnight
  4. Boil the green peas. Drain and grind coarsely with green chilly, ginger and coriander leaves
  5. Mix this with the fermented batter . Add chopped onions and check for salt
  6. Season the appe pan
  7. Add a little sesame seeds ( optional) in each cavity and pour batter over it. Add a little sesame seeds on top as well. This is totally optional but when it gets toasted it gives a lovely nutty flavour.
  8. Cook on both sides till brown and serve hot
