Shallots( small onion) red pumpkin chutney

Ingredients :

  • 1 heap cup thinly sliced red pumpkin
  • 7-8 small onion sliced
  • 2 green chilly
  • 3-4 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • 4-5 curry leaves
  • 1 heap tbsp urad dal
  • 2 tsp oil for frying

How to make:

1. In a pan add oil

2. Roast the urad dal till light brown

3. Then add  green chilly and curry leaves

4. Add the onion and cook til slightly brown

5. Add the slices pumpkin, tamarind and salt to taste

6. Mix well cover and cook on low heat till pumpkin is cooked

7. Cool completely and grind to a coarse or smooth paste as you wish

8. Serve with dosa/ idli or as an accompaniment to rice and bhakri
