
Ingredients :
- 1 cup peeled, de-seeded and grated white pumpkin
- 2 tbsp chana dal
- 2 tbsp urad dal
- 3 dry red chilly
- A piece of tamarind
- A small piece of ginger
- Salt to taste
How to make:
- Peel , de seed, and grate the white pumpkin with the biggest side of your grater .
- In a pan add 1-2 tsp of oil. Add the dals and chilly and roast till light brown,
- Now add in the grated pumpkin, ginger and tamarind and roast for a good 5 minutes on medium flame till the pumpkin is cooked.
- Remove from flame and cool completely
- Add salt and grind with a tbsp of water if required. Be careful with the water as pumpkin is a water logged veggie.
- Give a seasoning of mustard seeds .
- Yummy pumpkin chutney is ready to be served with dosa, Idli or bhakri.
